As part of the Fire Safety day, the kids had a coloring contest. She got 1st place for Kindergarten and won a toy Firetruck. It even has another little car that come out of the back. The teacher also made sure to tell Alexis that there were batteries in the box, and let me tell you that toy is loud! It was really funny because yesterday when the kids got off the bus, all of the neighborhood kids said they won a coloring contest. So, of course all of the parents said good job, and we just figured it was one of those things where everyone wins. Then today she got off the bus with the toy and had her first place ribbon. Well the little girl that lives a few doors over was so cute because she told us that she had really won 1st place and Alexis got 2nd, and it was just that the 2nd place got the prize. So funny! Anyway we are very proud of Alexis!
