We found an apartment.

So, when we got here to VA we tried to get a house on base.  Unfortunately, they don't allow dogs over 100 pounds in base housing (Harley is 120 pounds).  We are pretty mad, considering we have had him for 8 years and at 4 other bases!  Anyway, we have been looking for a place to rent, and we want to be in the York County School district, since it has better schools.  However, most places to rent also have restrictions for big dogs.  Well, we finally found a nice place!  It is in a great location and is only about 5-10 min from the base, the girls school, our church and shopping!  We moved in yesterday, but all of our things won't arrive until Tuesday.  For now we are "camping"  in our new place.  :)  Since I don't have my sewing machine yet, I had to hand sew the girls Valentines shirts.  I love making them clothes, and I really wanted them to have fun shirts for Valentines, especially since they don't wear uniforms to school here.

At least he has his laptop and phone!  :)

Lounging around in a mostly empty room.

Virginia Beach

After church today, we took a little trip to Virginia Beach!  The girls saw the Atlantic Ocean for the first time.  Even though it was a little cold, we loved the beach!

Running to the water, when we first got there!

Looking for shells.

Chasing seagulls!

Dinner with the Kimmels

We are so excited to be moving to VA, but at the same time, it is so hard to say goodbye to good friends.  Ashley and Aaron are like family to us, and we are going to miss them so much!!!!  We spent our last night here with them, and went to Cecil's for dinner.

Girls Day

The girls went over to their friend Angelina's house for a fun girls day with her and another friend, Hannah.  They had so much fun!  They made crafts, make your own pizzas and ice cream sundaes!  After all the fun, Tim and I picked up all the girls to go see Tangled at the base theater.  Cute movie, but I have never seen the base theater so crowded!  The movie started 45 min late, because they didn't expect so many people.  Here are some pics that Gisela (Angelina's Mom) took of the girls during all their fun.

Happy New Year!

We are so excited for 2011!
Here we are at midnight, well actually it was midnight in New York... but Zoey was tired as you can tell from her grumpy look!

To be honest, 2010 wasn't the best year for us... however despite all the medical issues we are dealing with, we are so thankful for the many blessings we have.  We are praying for a much healthier 2011!

I thought it would be fun for all of us to make some New Years resolutions, so here they are:

Tim:  To have more patience.

Jennie: To start blogging again!  I love being able to go back and see pictures of the girls and have a good record of them growing up.  I stopped blogging in 2009 (when Tim was deployed and I didn't have any extra time), and I just never started again.   So, I will be keeping the blog current and as time allows I will be going back and filling in the time I missed!

Kailey:  To be braver and try new things.

Alexis:  To listen more and be nicer.

Megan:  To be nicer to my sisters.

Zoey:  To listen to Mommy and Daddy.

New Year's Eve hats

We thought it would be fun to make some hats to ring in the New Year!

Look at that concentration!  Zoey is serious about her hat!

Waiting for the New Year in style... crazy hats and comfy jammies!

Alexis decided to make a headband instead, it came out really cute!

I made a headband too!
So, we thought it would be good to try and get a family picture using the timer on our camera... here are the girls waiting while we tried to remember how to do it.  LOL!

Some of us are getting sleepy...

Still waiting...
Well, while we tried to figure it out... we missed the New York countdown!  Ha ha, good thing we have DVR and could rewind.
