My new toy!

For mother's day, Tim and the girls got me an embroidery sewing machine. It is awesome... not only for the embroidery features, but also just basic sewing is so much easier on this new machine. I made the girls some outfits with their names embroidered on the shirts. It's kinda funny, but the fabrics I used were some jeans that were too big for me, and the white fabric is from some curtains I had made for Kailey when she was a baby. I couldn't help but think I was a little like Maria in the Sound of Music, making summer clothes out of curtains! LOL! Anyway, I am learning how to use all the features of my new sewing machine, and having fun making stuff for the girls.

Ostrich Farm

For any of you that have driven on the I-10, just north of Tucson, you have probably noticed the signs for the Ostrich farm. The first time we saw it we thought it was such a strange thing to see. Anyway, we had to be up in north Tucson so we decided to drive a little longer and actually stop at the Ostrich farm. They sell food for the Ostriches as well as some deer that they have there. I never realized how scary Ostriches can be. They were a lot bigger than I expected, and as soon as they saw us coming they were right up at the fence bobbing their heads. There were signs everywhere that said "Ostriches do bite," and "we are not responsible for any accidents," so I made Tim feed them. The first one bit him... fortunately they don't have teeth, but the nip from the beak didn't feel very good. So, we moved on to feeding the deer! The girls loved it! The deer ate right out of their hands. Here are some pictures of all the fun!

As requested... a picture at 27 weeks pregnant.

Here I am at 27 weeks pregnant (almost 7 months).

Pictures

Here are some fun pictures of the girls!
Megan is so beautiful... even with spaghetti all over her face!

At their dance class, one of the things the teacher does with the girls is make all sorts of faces. Here is Alexis making her mad face and then her silly face.

Megan is also making the silly face, doesn't she have such great manners with her feet up at the table during dinner, lol!

Also, Kailey is making her happy face.

Cool Websites

I learned about this cool website from the Stone Family's blog. It is www.upromise.com, and it is a site you can use to start saving for college. Basically you put in your grocery store cards and it tracks what you buy and gives you a small percentage back... they are already tracking you anyway (that is why you have to get the card for each grocery store) so you might as well make money for it. Also, if you put in your debit and credit cards, then you can earn money for your online purchases as well. Anyway, if you have a child or grandchild you should check out this site and start saving for their college. If you don't have anyone to save for and you want to help out the girls, let me know and I can send you a link to start saving for them.

Another fun website is www.myheritage.com, which Stacey told me about. Basically you upload a picture of yourself and then it scans the image and tells you what celebrity you look like. It changes depending on the picture and what expression you have. Sometimes you can really see the similarites... othertimes you just laugh. For example, Alexis had a really funny expression on her face in one picture and the site said she resembled Evander Holyfield! But, it is kinda fun to see what the site comes up with!
